FINAL RESULTS | USBC Intercollegiate Bowling Championships (April 17, 2009). The USBC Intercollegiate Bowling Championships were held at The Cherry Bowl in Rockford, Illinois from April 15-18 2009. The top 16 men's teams and 16 women's teams that advanced through the sectional qualifiers participated in the event. The format included 32 Baker games of qualifying (day 1), 5 rounds of double-elimination best 4 of 7 Baker match play (day 2), and semi-finals and finals (day 3). MEN: The Wichita State Shockers defeated the Saginaw
Valley State Cardinals 2-1 in the best two of three Baker match play
finals. Saginaw jumped out to an early lead with a 212-185 win in game 1.
However, the Shockers battled back to win game 2 - 203-149 and game 3 -
180-156.
WOMEN: The Wichita State Shockers downed the Lindenwood Lions 2-0 in the Baker match play finals. The Shockers powered to a game 1 win 218-180 and followed it up with a closing game 2 win - 197-156.
